Kia Ora and Welcome...... to Beach Road Cottage, your Holiday Home in The Hokianga.
This 1880's colonial cottage is in the historic village of Kohukohu, originally settled in the 1830's and once the centre of the Kauri milling industry in Northland. We hope you will enjoy waking up to see the sunrise over the hills across the harbor, possibly take a stroll to the local cafe for a great coffee and breakfast and spend time with local residents that really make the village worth a visit.
If you find yourself without a good book or with itchy feet there is plenty to do in the area; locally you can wonder the lanes of Kohukohu and see pictures of a bygone era and within half an hour you can explore the Kauri Forest, huge sand dunes and deserted beaches.
Your hosts, James and Dizz, look forward to you having a restful break whatever you decide.
